The Guna- collagen injection combines Traditional Oriental Medical  Science with Modern Medical Science just like the traditional catgut-embedding method. Collagen is a naturally occurring substance found in large quantities in our body, but unfortunately during aging, due to various effects (eg.: stress) and genetic factors it is constantly being reduced. This procedure can help the body self-regulate and optimize the connective tissue matrix.

The advantage of the Guna-collagen injection is that it does not fill the connective tissues but affects cell revitalization and cleansing of the inter-cellular tissue, which results: in the regeneration of skin tone, smoothing of wrinkles, beautification of the face, and freshening of the skin.

The main ingredient of MD medical collagen therapy formulations is high-purity, sterile collagen which also contains vitamins, antioxidants, and plant extracts for the proper effect.

Side effects

Despite the above, as with any treatment, this method can also cause side effects, which are the same as the side effects of catgut embedding:

• At/ around the points of the treatments slight mild redness, pungent sensation and/or numbness may occur

• Hematoma (hematoma) may occur as a complication but it adsorbs over time

• On the day after treatment, temporary worsening of symptoms and/ or headache may occur, which can be prevented by drinking a lot of fluids after the treatment
