Our founder
Our founder, Dr. Le Thúy Oanh’s family has a rich legacy of being doctors and medical practitioners. Beginning her career as a doctor in 1982, she specialized in cardiology, traditional medicine, and acupuncture. Dr. Oanh has always been dedicated to researching and exploring the integration of her Western and Eastern medical expertise to provide more holistic healing results for patients. From the early years of her career, she innovated the thread-embedding acupuncture technique to make it safer and more effective than the original method.
Dr. Le Thuy Oanh revolutionized the thread embedding method by inventing a tool that inserts threads into acupoints in a non-invasive way while ensuring more precision, less discomfort, and eliminating the need for anesthesia. With Dr. Le Thuy Oanh’s method, catgut thread is inserted into a tiny needle tube and then inserted into acupuncture points on the body. When the needle is removed, the thread stays in the patient's body to continue to promote long-term, continuous acupuncture effects until the thread is dissolved completely.
Dr. Oanh’s thread embedding method can be used for all patients, even 1 to 2-month-old premature-born infants, and is especially suitable for patients who are sensitive and afraid of pain. Today, Dr. Le Thuy Oanh's thread embedding method can treat hundreds of diseases, even difficult ones such as cancer or stroke that cause paralysis (if treated early in the first month, the patient can recover completely), infertility, Autism, Down syndrome (can not change chromosomes but can improve the patient's brain and activity), ELSA, MSA, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, spinal and brain injuries due to accidents, etc.

In 1989, Dr. Le Thuy Oanh was invited to the National Institute of Rheumatology and Physiotherapy in Budapest (ORFI) to teach, conduct research, and treat in Hungary. Dr. Oanh also worked at the Hungarian Natural Treatment Association, Yamamoto Rehabilitáció Intézet, and Debrecen Institute of Child Care and Rehabilitation (Gyermekklinika Children's Clinic Debrecen).
In 1992, Dr. Oanh was one of only two Asian Kicsoda Ki Magazine (Who is Who) elected as people who had important contributions to society.
In 2000, Dr. Oanh published the book "Catgut-embedding", making her the first author globally to document this technique. The doctor is also the author of four other publications: Simplified Acupuncture, General Acupuncture, Pulse Taking, and Pinna Embedding. These books are used as training and reference materials for doctors at medical schools in Hungary and Vietnam. Dr. Oanh's pioneering method publication of "Catgut-embedding" in 2008, made her the first author globally to document this technique.
Dr. Oanh has trained thousands of doctors in Vietnam and other countries and has been invited to teach and treat in many developed countries around the world such as France, Germany, America, Canada, and many countries in Asia. In Europe, thread embedding is often called the "Le Thuy Oanh method".
In 2006, Dr. Le Thuy Oanh founded the Vietnam Rehabilitation Institute (VRI) in Budapest, Hungary, helping more patients in Europe have access to this method.
In 2014, Dr. Oanh established 2 Thread embedding Institutes in Hanoi.
There are clinics throughout every 53 provinces and cities across Vietnam practicing Dr. Le Thuy Oanh's Thread Embedding method.
In 2015, Dr. Oanh established another Thread Embedding Institude in Warsaw, Poland.
